Moffett Training Course
The vehicle mounted lift truck is commonly referred to as the MOFFETT, the equipment is mounted onto the rear of a heavy goods vehicle and allows the driver to load or unload their own vehicle. Our Moffett training course wil train delegates inline with legislation and best practice.
How is someone deemed competent? – training, knowledge and experience.
Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck operators are required to undertake adequate training in the safe and efficient use of the equipment, training inline with the L117. Without successfully completing adequate training you risk being non compliant with the relevant regulations.
RTITB Accredited certification and photo ID card, both options will provide proof of training, all certification is backed up with your record of training archived on our secure system. moffett training is a great way to also ensure your staff are aware of their responsibilities and also safe to themselves and other people.

- Pre use inspection test

By the end of course the operator should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of responsibilities under relevant legislation
- Carry out a pre-shift inspection of the forklift truck
- Understand the causes of instability of the forklift truck and the load
- load and unload vehicles
- Operate the forklift truck safely and correctly in accordance with the manufacturers handbook and instruction
All candidates will be registered on to the RTITB Nors scheme ( national operators registration scheme valid for 3 years
Training Refresher Period
Refresher training is recommended after 3 years and the registration can be renewed with RTITB.
